Lanc’s Best Pumpkin Bread
Lancfoodiegirl is a big part of my life and a big passion of mine. It brings together several passions that are near and dear to my heart: cooking and photography. I love nothing more than to be in the kitchen creating concoctions and developing recipes all day. I also just love being behind a camera and making those recipes come alive. There is just something about a picture of plated food, something that makes that dish just jump off the page and jump into my belly. Food photography that speaks to you, that compels you to try that dish, develop that recipe or inspires you to get in the kitchen and make that picture come to life…that is my passion.
Aside from Lancfoodiegirl, my other passion is my family; my husband, Chris, and our two boys. Our boys sure do keep us on our feet. My 5 year old, who is starting kindergarten, loves to be in the kitchen with me. His favorite food to cook? Cookies. He is also a cookie eating machine! I love that he wants to be in the kitchen with me, throw on an apron and get his hands dirty in flour, sugar and lots of chocolate.
So, this week, my 5 year old was my special guest chef in the kitchen, helping me whip up Lanc’s Best Pumpkin Bread. I was able to satisfy his sweet tooth by offering to add a few chocolate chips (alright, maybe it was more like a cup) to the second loaf we baked. But, chocolate or not, we had a blast together. Although it was a little more messy than usual, we laughed and giggled our way through making Lanc’s Best Pumpkin Bread.
This pumpkin bread is all sorts of dreamy. It’s perfect for a Fall breakfast treat, after-school snack or your next Thanksgiving feast. Whoa! Did I just say Thanksgiving? Yup! Thanksgiving will be here in the blink of an eye.
Lanc’s Best Pumpkin Bread is a little crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. It has all the right amounts of ground cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg that just screams “Fall” and will to make your pumpkin loving heart skip a beat.
Take this pumpkin lover’s dream bread up a notch by whipping up my Browned Butter Cream Cheese Icing. The browned butter, the star ingredient, is the cherry on top of this proverbial sundae. YUM! A (large) dollop of this icing on a piece of Lanc’s Best Pumpkin Bread will send you over the edge into a state of pumpkin nirvana. Yes, please!
