Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies
Cookie season is here! Have you heard? Yup. That’s right, it’s cookie season and I’ve got one hell of a cookie recipe coming at ya right here! Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies! Whaaat!?! A few of my favorite flavors coming together for this crazy good cookie: chocolate and salted caramel. So, strap on your favorite apron, fire up your oven and giddy-up for this delicious cookie.
This cookie recipe is inspired by two classic favorites. First, the recipe is inspired by good ole Betty Crocker herself. You can’t go wrong with baking via Betty Crocker. The taste, the texture and the cookie itself always turns out just perfect. So, when I came across her recipe for a chocolate cookie, I knew I needed to take that and make it my own. Second, the spin on this cookie to make it my own was inspired from my favorite ice cream flavor: Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel from the ahhmazing Carmen and David’s Ice Cream. My former neighbors and ice cream making extraordinaries! Their wide variety of flavors are mouth-watering, to say the least.
So, let’s chat about these Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies; I mean really chat. My 5-year-old, who might be a cookie eating machine, if there ever was one, deemed these cookies the best he has ever had. I mean, better than my Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies and better than my Peanut Butter Cookies. And, he means business. The hubs reports these Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies are just perfect; meaning they are perfectly soft and chewy with just the right flavor. The perfect combo of dark chocolate packed full of chocolate chips and a touch of salted caramel in each bite.
